Truth

~ So we all know our failures, our sin, our shortcomings.. things that we are in the process of cleaning up but have not perfected... so are we to call ourselves believers and yet not Christians.. are we to stop all ministry and service in his name because not one is perfect but Christ.. the enemy would love nothing more... but is it God's heart that we crawl in a hole for shame of our lack of perfection?

~ Ppl that truly love Christ, fear bringing shame to his name, they understand the holiness he asks us to walk in, and often times the guilt and shame of our imperfections persuade us to withdraw from the things of God, from his ppl, from his presence... and the Church more often than not is the one pointing toward the door for us to get out of Dodge.. but not all, there are voices if we are listening...

~ As the church, as individual believers, we are at a crossroads... divisions are no longer between denominations... they are between pews, between leaders of the same congregations, between families and family members.. Christ spoke of all of this coming in the last days. Guess what... the last days are upon us.. do we ignore the situation or do we seek God for the right response in this hour?

~ when has the right response ever required less than courage, inconvenience, sacrifice and blood?... the easy way is not the right way, the popular way is not the best way, the entertaining way will never be truly fulfilling or long-lasting. Do not abandon your Faith, do not abandon Church as some are persuaded to do and preach... do not let discouragement overwhelm you and cause you to give up.

~ Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (NIV)

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (NLT)

~ If you're around me long, you're prolly gonna hear some profanity slip at some point, you're gonna see me buzzed after drinking a few, you're gonna see me seduce my husband, you're gonna see me as something other than a church lady.. but I am still a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and I still call myself by his name because he brings out the best in me, and I still meet with other's who love my God.

~ I could pretend you're gonna love me and always witness textbook church behavior from me... but that would be a lie.

~ So does all that justify sin.. God has to forgive us after all... ppl aren't allowed to judge us according to the Bible?... uhhh, no.

~ God may not kick us to the curb as long as we still have a heart to be good, but his belt across our backside is a given if we don't fly right.. he disciplines those that he loves... if you ain't feeling a sting when you act selfishly, if nobody cares that you are loving yourself and others... then you ain't loved. Truth.
